Recent greyhound track, kennel and farm closings have rapidly and significantly increased the number of greyhounds that need:
uAdoption organizations around the country to offer their assistance by taking greyhounds into their group
uVolunteers to offer transportation from the track, kennel or farm to the adoption organizations
uPotential greyhound adopters to find their local adoption organizations

The web site www.greyhoundcentral.org was first used by Kevin Neuman, long time greyhound advocate and board member of Kansas City Retired Greyhounds as Pets (KCREGAP – www.kcregap.org) and GREY2K USA (www.grey2kusa.org), to host the International Greyhound Memorial Weekend.
The site is now returning as the Greyhound Central Clearinghouse (GCC), a way to connect adoption groups with those who can help transport greyhounds from |
|
tracks and kennels, and those who wish to give deserving ex-racers their Forever Homes.
When tracks or kennels close, it's all about the greyhounds. The mission of GCC is to facilitate communications, centralize information, create awareness and above all, expand the number of people and organizations working together for the good of the greyhounds. All are welcomed to participate in this positive effort.
Please visit this site frequently to help the hounds. Just click on one of the links below and a GCC volunteer will contact you and discuss ways on how you can best support these efforts. |
