Organize an event in your
area and join us to help redefine greyhounds
worldwide during the during the |

¨ We suggest a 60-90 minute event on one of the
two days - Saturday 7/24/04 or Sunday 7/26/04 - and there is no minimum or maximum number of
people. |

¨ Please
e-mail us to tell us more about your event so we can help publicize it
and add your city and state to the roster of events. ¨ Media coverage help and suggestions for you to
use locally are will be available at when you
sign up to participate. ¨ Speeches, prayers, readings, and spiritual
memorials are examples of what you can do very simply and have a wonderful
event. ¨ Of course, greyhounds are welcome (but be
careful of the heat!) ¨ Participants should not be required to have adopted a greyhound: invite all your
relatives, friends and neighbors who want to support the greyhounds. We need
all the greyhound advocates we can get and these events are a fantastic way
to increase those numbers. We must continue the
work to convince
the world that greyhounds and galgos are not racing machines. Your event during the International Greyhound
Memorial Weekend will be invaluable in that fight! |
